All we can say is WOW!
The Springs Resort is off the charts fantastic!
We left yesterday morning from Xandari on a 2 hour and 30 minute drive f
rom Alajuela to LaFortuna! Along the drive hour driver Carlos had a nice basket with wine and cheese to help celebrate our 30 year anniversary.
A lot of winding roads is the reason it took The full 2 hours and 30 minutes to get to LaFortuna - but definitely worth it as the Spring Resort is definitely the best resort we have ever seen and stayed at!
Picturesque and perfect views of the Arenal Volcano with several pools heated by this "Active" Volcano sets this 5 star resort apart from all the rest in the area! In fact this resort was rated number one in LaFortuna as well as in the country of Costa Rica! 🇨🇷
From the time we've stepped foot on the property we felt like we were welcomed guests from years past! Our hospitality rep Orlando was fantastic as was everyone else and especially Anthony our swimming pool bartender!
After lunch we hung out in the various pools which are heated by the Volcano most of the afternoon. Near the end of the afternoon the clouds finally gave way around the top of the Volcano and you can see the whole impressive mountain! What a great view!
When we finally got to our room it was just unbelievable! Once again tremendous views of the Volcano and the resort room was huge and state-of-the-art to say the least!
Our late dinner last night was also very impressive with yet again tremendous views of the entire property!
That's it for today's blog. This morning we are headed out to go ziplining, cross cross a number of hanging bridges, and ride a sky tram!
